Argo is recalling 2,170 Xplorer ATVs in the United States and Canada over improperly installed fuel tank vent hoses. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the problem can cause a fuel leak and a fire hazard. The affected units are 2020 and 2021 Argo Xplorer XR 500 and XRT 500 ATVs, and 2021 through 2023 Argo Xplorer XR 570 and XRT 570 ATVs.

Argo has issued an immediate stop-ride order for the affected machines and is reaching out to people who bought the machines. Customers are being asked to contact their Argo dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair of the fuel system. The fix is a longer and rerouted fuel hose and a fuel filler neck insert.

The CPSC says Argo has received reports of two fuel overflows but no fires. No injuries associated with the recall have been reported. For more information head to the CPSC recall website.
