Is the 2023 Polaris Sportsman 1000 High Lifter Any Good?

The 2023 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 High Lifter is a brute of a machine. Weighing in at around 1,000 pounds, it packs 85 hp from its nearly 1,000cc engine. Sitting tall on arched A-arms and massive paddle tires, it looks more amphibian than terrestrial. We recently spent some time in the saddle, throwing the $17,000 ATV at some of Windrock Park’s meanest mudholes to find out everything there is to love and hate about the big bruiser.
