On August 11, just two days ahead of the 25th running of the 500-mile Vegas to Reno desert race, Pro UTV competitors lined up to fight the Nevada desert for starting position. The qualifying course was a 5-mile lap in Jean, just outside of Las Vegas. Each competitor was allowed a single practice lap, and then lined back up for a timed run.
The UTV Pro Open and Pro Turbo racers made up the bulk of approximately 150 UTVs that would lineup for Vegas to Reno on Friday. While time trial isn’t necessary to race Vegas to Reno, it was obvious that most of the pro UTV race teams took the chance for a better starting position very seriously. From the Method Race Wheels Starting Line, UTV racers lined up further than you could see. UTV Driver was there to capture the action. We hope you enjoy some of our images from Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno UTV time trials.
