Robby Gordon, NASCAR racer, Baja 1000 legend, and founder of the up-and-coming side-by-side company Speed UTV, will not compete in the 2022 Baja 1000. The news came after SCORE International posted the entry list for the race and Gordon’s name was nowhere to be seen. This will be the first year Gordon has not competed in the Baja 1000 Trophy Truck race since the class’ debut 28 years ago.

It is believed that Gordon will not be competing in order to focus on Speed UTV. Gordon also said in early October that we would see Speed UTV units begin to ship this month; we are still waiting for them. We can only assume that Gordon is putting his time and energy toward the goal of shipping the first wave of Speed UTVs.
