Can-Am recently worked with multiple hunting-focused partners to build a fully outfitted Defender Max Limited, with every piece of hardware a hunter could wish for as part of the package. This “Ultimate Upland Game Hunting Vehicle” was then raffled off and the funds were donated to organizations and efforts focused on supporting the pheasant habitats for which the vehicle was outfitted.

Can-Am Off-Road built and donated the vehicle seen here for the sake of the raffle. The brand worked in tandem with South Dakota’s Game, Fish and Parks, R&R Pheasant Hunting, and Secondary Century Habitat Fund on the project. A total of $500,000 worth of raffle tickets were sold, which was doled out to help preserve the land and ecosystems that pheasants inhabit. Can-Am said, “All proceeds from the raffle benefit the Second Century Habitat Fund, a nonprofit 501 c3 entity that works to educate landowners on the importance of grassland to improve pheasant habitat in South Dakota.”

The raffle winner got a decent take away too: A customized 2021 Can-Am Defender Max Limited that had creative input from Can-Am as well as R&R Pheasant Hunting. It was kitted out with the right gear and accessories to be comfortable while chasing down pheasants. According to Can-Am, additions included “overhead audio system, Can-Am LinQ Tool and Gun Holder, Can-Am Adventure Roof Rack, a custom bed box with sliding drawers, 32-inch tires with matching wheels, custom powdercoating, custom wrap, and more.”

They estimate the rig is decked out with about $50,000 worth of upgrades. We don’t doubt the raffle winner will enjoy their new machine.
