Honda Recalls Around 32,000 Talons

Recall affects the 2019–2021 Honda Talon 1000 S2 and S4.

Last week, Honda announced a recall for the 2019–2021 Talon 1000 S2 and S4. The US Consumer Product Safety Commision says that the intake funnel screw can loosen itself and fall into the engine, causing engine failure. Around 32,000 units have been recalled, and Honda says anyone who has not had this issue repaired should immediately stop using the vehicle and take it to the nearest authorized Honda Powersports dealer for free inspection and repair.

Sixteen cases of intake funnel screws entering the engine and causing engine failure have been reported, and one report of loss of control which resulted in minor injuries. To check if your vehicle is under this recall, Honda released a list of VIN numbers for the affected vehicles. The VIN range is shown below.
