We Got the Kawasaki Ridge TOTALLY WRONG!

We look at all the teasers so far and come to a new conclusion …

Last week, we told you that we’re expecting a supercharged, inline four cylinder supersport machine when Kawasaki pulls the wraps off the 2024 Kawasaki Ridge at its dealer meeting next month. You all let us know that you think we’re way off base. Fair enough.

This week, Executive Editor Aaron Richardson is going through all the teasers, patent drawings, and evidence we’ve collected so far about the Ridge. Will it be a supersport Can-Am Maverick R fighter or a recreation/utility machine like the Polaris Xpedition? We think it could be both. Let me explain.

Patent drawings clearly show a supercharged version of the four-cylinder engine that is confirmed for the Ridge, but stuffed into a utility rig. That doesn’t make a lot of sense. At the same time, the teaser videos are clearer every day that the Ridge is most likely either a luxury utility machine or a rec-ute.

So, what’s going on here? We think Kawasaki has two rigs in store. A rec-ute AND a supersport. Check out the video to learn how we came to that conclusion!
