Each year for the past three years, Can-Am has held the Can-Am for a Cause program that lets Texas powersports dealers nominate charities and organizations for a chance to win a Can-Am Defender to bolster their efforts. This year, Tate Farms won the prize and decided to use it to give back to their community.
“I want to welcome people in, and just have a place where everybody can come together and feel welcome and a part, no matter who you are,” says Evan Tate, the third-generation owner of Tate Farms.
Tate Farms’ main production is cattle and beef, but they have turned their farm into a community center. The farm is a co-op, hosts drive-in movies, and actively helps with local businesses at state fairs. The farm will use the awarded Can-Am Defender Max Lone Star to help with these events and causes.
