The Viking VI is built off of Yamaha’s tried-and-true six-seat platform and reliable powertrain combination. Also standard on this Viking VI is Electric Power Steering (EPS). This system helps lower the overall steering effort of the machine, resulting in reduced fatigue after a long day in the field.
The Viking VI is ready to conquer anything in its path with a powerful 686cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC powerplant. Feeding the air into the Viking’s engine is a large-capacity air intake system that improves overall engine performance. Making the power transfer to the ground is Yamaha’s reliable Ultramatic transmission, which now features a 10-year belt warranty. This unit is known for its smooth clutch engagement and On-Command 4WD system, which allows the driver to quickly dial between 2WD, limited-slip 4WD, and a fully locked differential 4WD system.
The interior shines through with a comfortable six-seat cabin that includes padded headrests, three-point seatbelts for all riders, and an adjustable driver’s seat. Two rows of seats means there is plenty of room for everyone with best-in-class interior space. Doors ensure that everything, including the riders, stays inside the cabin, safe and clean.
Yamaha ensured the Viking VI puts all these features to use by providing buyers with plenty of capability to haul and tow. The steel cargo bed is designed to take the brunt of anything you want to put in it with a carrying capacity of 600 pounds. The 2-inch receiver on the back of the vehicle is designed to easily tow up to 1,500 pounds.
