Can-Am celebrated Veterans Day this year by making a donation to Special Ops Xcursions, an organization that creates pre- and post-deployment adventures for active-duty special operations forces service members and their families. The donation was in the form of two Can-Am Defender UTVs and $5,000 cash under the Can-Am for a Cause program. The program rewards organizations that do good deeds in their communities.

Special Ops Xcursions is noted for its work in outdoor hobby communities. The organization focuses on hunting, fishing, camping, trap and skeet shooting, archery, and family retreats. Can-Am side-by-sides are easy to tailor to those uses, so the donation is a natural fit. The brand has chosen OuterLimit Powersports in Dyersburg, Tennessee, as its partner dealer for this as the dealership “has employees, family members, and friends who are both active duty and veterans, and they wanted to help give back.”

As Special Ops Xcursions’ services are free to those on active duty in the Special Forces, Can-Am’s donation helps the organization keep the lights on and expand opportunities for adventure. Special Ops Xcursions founder Scott Graves said, “Special operations military members can be on deployment for months at a time, and then when they’re home, they may train for two or three more months, which doesn’t give them much downtime to spend with friends and family. We make it easy for them to step away from their responsibilities and enjoy the great outdoors. Can-Am’s support elevates the entire experience and gives us the tools we need to make truly memorable adventures for everyone involved.”
