Segway Sells Out of 2023 Villains

Segway sold its entire inventory of Villains before the units hit dealers.

Segway sold out of its entire inventory of 2023 Villain sport side-by-sides in about six weeks.Segway

Orders for the 2023 Segway Villain sport side-by-side opened in October, and by the end of November Segway had sold all of its available inventory. That’s a heck of a sales rate for any UTV, let alone one from a company that only broke into the UTV market with a utility rig in 2022. If you’re itching to get your hands on a Villain, don’t worry. Segway says more will be available this month, and dealers are already taking preorders.

Available in 64-inch and 72-inch-wide versions, Segway makes a Villain suited to tight trails or the open desert.Segway

The Villain is, on paper, a very appealing machine, with 105 hp from a 1,000cc parallel twin. It’s available in either 64-inch or 72-inch-wide versions, and starts at less than $17,000 for the entry-level 64-inch model. The 72-inch models start at $19,299. For that you get a vehicle monitoring app, on-demand locking differentials front and back, beadlock wheels, a 4,500-pound winch and 18 inches of rear-wheel travel.

We’re hoping to get our hands on a Villain and a Fugleman this year to put them through their paces, but if they keep selling out inventory, we might be in for a long wait.
