Polaris’ earnings were up 7 percent in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, for a staggering total of $2.2 billion globally. The United States accounted for 85 percent of those earnings, or $1.8 billion, an increase of 8 percent over 2022, according to Powersports Business.

International sales were also up over Q2 2022, to $333 million, a 6 percent increase. The earnings reported cited higher shipment volumes in 2023 versus 2022, and credited Indian Motorcycle and the off-road sector with the lion’s share of the growth.

Despite the sales increases, net income and profits were down compared to 2022, thanks to increased borrowing costs and a stormy global trade climate. Still, more than $2 billion in sales is nothing to sneeze at.
