The folks at Lite Brite Studios have taken delivery of a new 2022 Polaris RZR Pro R and immediately put it to the test at Utah’s Sand Hollow State Park. Lucky for us they filmed the whole thing, and better yet, they brought along another RZR to show just how capable the Pro R is.

The focus of the video is the Pro R Ultimate Launch Edition in the see-it-from-space Lifted Lime paint scheme. In addition to the much ballyhooed 225 hp 2.0L inline-four, the Launch Edition trim also has Dynamix DV suspension, 16 inches of ground clearance, and an absolutely bananas 29 inches of suspension travel. There’s also Ride Command and Rockford Fosgate Premium Audio. It’s as kitted-out as an RZR comes and it looks right at home and massively capable on the sand, dunes, rocks, and trails of Sand Hollow State Park, Lite Brite’s home turf for testing its off-road vehicles.

To make things interesting, Lite Brite brought along an RZR Turbo S to compare against the new Pro R. The Turbo S is Lite Brite’s old rig, and it’s a great unit against which to benchmark the new Pro R. It has “just” 181 hp from the factory, chump change compared to the Pro R, but the Lite Brite team can’t leave things stock, and upgraded it with an intake, exhaust, tune, and more before selling it. Its new owner tagged along in the video to serve as its pilot. The difference in capability is exciting, and the drag race really shows how stout the Pro R is, especially considering that this Turbo S is likely equally powerful and around 400 pounds lighter. Who comes out on top? You’ll have to watch the video to see for yourself.
