The 2022 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Trail Edition is here, and we have a full gallery of photos from our time with the machine in Pioneer, Tennessee. The new machine comes with a host of refinements over the previous generation. While the 999cc parallel twin and dual-clutch transmission carry over from before, the machine now offers a reworked power steering system, new gear ratios, and adjustable Fox shocks. There’s also a new instrument cluster, in-bed lighting, and additional storage under the front bench. Check out the images below for a closer look.

The Pioneer has found a loyal following by offering the right mix of capability and fun, and the Trail Edition expands on that reputation.Honda

Our tester came with the optional half windshield, which does a great job of keeping water out of the cabin during spirited crossings.Honda

The Trail Edition comes with a recalibrated version of Honda’s i-4WD system, which helps make short work of loose, rocky climbs.Honda
