Textron has issued a recall of a total of 11,300 Arctic Cat Prowler Pro, Prowler Pro Crew, Tracker 800SX, and Tracker 800SX Crew UTVs in the US and Canada for a faulty gas cap that is a fire hazard. According to the recall summary, some gas caps on 2022 and 2023 Arcitc Cat Prowler Pro and 800SX models do not fit properly. That can cause a fuel leak around the filler neck, which is a fire hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, affected vehicles were sold between April 2021 and September 2023 at independent Arctic Cat/Textron dealers and Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops. Textron has received 48 reports of fuel leaks. No injuries have so far been reported related to the fault. It is unclear if the problem has caused any fires.

Textron is telling owners of affected machines to stop using them immediately and contact their dealer. Textron will remedy the recall with a free inspection of the gas cap and repair if necessary.
