The Rec-Ute or “Adventure” market is booming and Textron’s Havoc X is trying to destroy its competitors like the Kawasaki Teryx and Polaris General.UTV Driver

If Textron’s takeover of Arctic Cat wasn’t news enough, the industrial, military and commercial vehicle giant is going into 2018 on a terror with the release of the Havoc X. Based on the Stampede platform, the Havoc X is more sport oriented and looks to be aimed right at the Polaris General. We have put these two machines side by side so, you can see for yourself if any of the specifications meet the needs for your next recreational UTV.

The aggressive new Havoc X will feature King shocks and a much more powerful 100 horsepower engine verses its cousin the Stampede.UTV Driver

The General is based off the RZR-S platform with full doors, dump bed and a modular roof support.UTV Driver

The Havoc X’s King shocks will have over 12 inches of travel and will be fully adjustable and rebuildable. The Havoc will have it's official release December 1st.UTV Driver

Along with the base model General you can get pre installed, winches, roofs, stereos and navigation systems. Prices range from $16,999 to $21,499 for the 2-seat models.UTV Driver

Like the Stampede, the Havoc X will have an extra cab storage platform that we find very handy for carrying extra cargo.UTV Driver
