Honda Talon Bags King of the Hammers Win

Bailey Cole dominated in UTV Stock Normally Aspirated class.

Bailey Cole went hard in the rocks at this year’s King of the Hammers UTV race, putting his Honda Talon on the top step in the UTV Stock category.Honda

Honda got 2022 off on a high note, taking home Big Red’s first-ever win at King of the Hammers, thanks to Bailey Cole’s skills in the rocks. Cole drove his Honda Talon 1000R to the UTV Stock Normally Aspirated class win by playing it conservative in the open desert sections in favor of gaining time over the field in the technical rock sections.

The results were excellent, with Cole finishing 40 minutes ahead of the second-place finisher in his class. His performance was good enough for 14th overall in the KOH UTV race, against some seriously worked-over race rigs.

Even more impressive, Cole was one of just 34 drivers to finish the race, out of a starting field of 129 rigs. We have a soft spot for the Talon around these parts, and it’s great to see the little rig get some much-deserved motorsports accolades.
