Watch These Aussies Break Everything

The crew from 4WD 24/7 head to Tasmania for some wheeling.

Tasmania’s trails look wet and wild, and gave the crew from 4WD 24/7 a run for their money.YouTube

There’s a theory that most adventures can be broken down into three types of fun. Type one fun is the kind of experience that’s enjoyable in the moment. Think of the perfect riding day, neither too hot nor too cool, with excellent trails and a machine that runs just right. Type two fun is the kind we’re more familiar with. That’s when the riding is miserable in the moment, but great when you look back. That time we tried to run two Polaris RZRs for 24 hours in the rain? Yeah, trying to patch the same tire three times was terrible in the moment, but hilarious in retrospect. Definitely type two fun. Type three fun is the kind that’s absolutely miserable from start to finish, but makes a good story.

A lot of riding falls into that middle category. Things start off well with smiles and high fives. Then someone says, “One more trail,” and you find yourself being drug out of the backcountry by a buddy in the middle of a thunderstorm. The guys at 4WD 24/7 just had a serious bout of type two fun on their latest adventure. The crew aimed themselves at some of the hardest tracks in Tasmania, and found themselves facing off against all manner of obstacles, including a blown engine, tires off the bead, and a snapped axle, all in the rain. Sounds miserably perfect. Check it out below, and if you have a similar story of type two fun, shoot us the details at contact@utvdriver.com. Maybe we’ll feature the best ones here.
