While many off-road vehicles have moved closer to passenger cars, offering several creature comforts, their technology features aren’t always up to speed. Can-Am’s Vibe Universal Comm System aims to fix some of those issues with an intuitive interface and a wide range of connectivity features.
Vibe offers streaming music and other features, and it integrates with most BRP helmets for more functionality. The system requires no tools to install and can be set up in minutes, and it has nine channels and up to eight hours of battery life in freezing cold conditions. It features improved rapid charging over earlier versions and features Bluetooth 5.1 technology.
Can-Am promises seamless, real-time communication and premium audio from Harman Kardon speakers. The system works with the BRP Go smartphone app to provide easy visibility and control of settings, and it can connect to the vehicle’s onboard display screen in some models. Additionally, it’s compatible with all Sena Mesh accessories, such as intercoms, headsets, and other devices. Its deep connectivity offers views of weather forecasts and other trail conditions, and Can-Am says the system has up to 1 mile of range for better coverage off the beaten path.
Can-Am’s Vibe Universal Communication System will be on sale soon, with prices varying between models. In general, expect to pay between $350 and $400 for the system.
