You could buy a 2024 Can-Am Maverick R and spend the time and money to race-prep it yourself, but you’ll end up blowing a ton of cash, and you still won’t have as cool a rig as this one. This Can-Am Maverick R was Lucy and Lia Block’s vehicle for their first desert races, and it comes with all the goodies you’d expect from a race-prepped UTV.
The list of upgrades is extensive, and includes an Amp race cage, radios and an intercom system, a custom GPS, racing window nets and seat harnesses, and 33-inch Toyo tires with an extra. The suspension has also been tuned specifically for desert racing, and the rig comes with Baja Designs lights and light bars.
Beyond its celebrity and racing pedigree, this Maverick has been barely touched since leaving the desert. The seller states that all fire and safety equipment remains in place and notes that it has run a 60-mile youth race since its preparation.
This rig isn’t cheap, but again, you won’t see another one like it anytime soon. The seller is asking for $75,000, a far cry from the Maverick R’s around-$40,000 starting price. Think of it this way: Polaris wants $140,000 for a factory-fresh RZR Pro R Factory, and building a Mav R to this spec yourself would easily cost $30,000 on top of the purchase price. And even if you did go that route, you’d still be missing the Block family connection that makes this rig so special.
