Massimo has just announced that it will unveil an all-new electric UTV in 2026. You might recognise Massimo from the UTVs on sale outside your local Lowe’s. Or while riding around in one of the company’s golf carts, if you’re of the golfing persuasion. But now, the company is trying its hand at an actual electric UTV.
Massimo says the new EV will feature a 72V 200AH battery fit to a 15kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor with 4WD capability. That setup provides 43 miles of range per charge and a top speed of 28 mph. No word on styling, price, or just about anything else. But knowing Massimo, don’t expect this rig to reach Ranger Kinetic prices.
Speaking of the Ranger Kinetic, the Premium trim, which starts at $29,999, has just 2 more miles of range than the theorized Massimo. That’s a huge deal for farmers and hunters who might not want to spend a farmhand’s yearly wages on a UTV. How will the Massimo compare in all other aspects? We’re just going to have to wait until 2026 to find out.
“The market for electric UTVs is expanding rapidly, not only among environmentally conscious consumers but also within the farm and ranch communities where quiet operation and reduced emissions are increasingly important,” says David Shan, CEO of Massimo Group. “By entering this segment, Massimo is aligning with long-term consumer trends while creating significant growth opportunities for our company and shareholders.”
We just got a look at Can-Am’s new electric ATV, and with the Massimo UTV following closely behind it, the market is heading toward an electrified future.
