Coming Soon: YXZ 1000R Turbos You Can Buy From The Dealer

Starting this August, Yamaha dealers nationwide will be offering and installing this group of new GYTR Performance Accessories for all models of the YXZ1000R. The Turbo Kits themselves will be available in September for the stick shift models and in October for the SS version. The big question now, will racers be able to compete in a turbo class at race series such as Torc, WORCS, SCORE and Best In The Desert. We will see shortly.

Buyers will either do the high compression parts to add power and not mess with the turbo or people wanting the turbo, can keep their car at normal compression levels for reliability. We would suggest the clutch kit though either way.

Earlier in the year we brought you an article about where you could buy a YXZ1000R equipped from the dealer with a turbo. Unfortunately the dealer was located in Dubai. Now U.S. dealers will be able to sell and install Turbo kits on a YXZ1000 you already own or plan to buy. We bet there will be plenty of dealers installing them on their showroom machines just to bring people in the door and make a quick sale.
